2. How is my information handled?

My BMW Finance is governed by and compliant with the Australian Privacy Act as set out under the BMW Group Privacy, Credit Information, and Cookies Policy. Your information is handled safely and securely as outlined in the privacy policy.

3. What are the early termination fees?

Early Termination Fee – comprises an administration fee of $275.00 and an amount that is 2.75% of the proportion of the Loan Amount that corresponds to the unexpired portion of the Term, and is payable if for any reason the Amount Owing is fully repaid more than 3 months before the last Due Date in the Term.

We will refund 50% of any Early Termination fee payable if before, or no more than 3 months after you fully repay the Amount Owing, we settle your new loan or finance lease with BMW Financial Services.

4. How do I obtain a payout figure for my current BMW Financial Services contract?

There are a few options to obtaining a payout figure:

  • Use our BMW One app - get your payout figure anytime you wish under the My Finance section.
  • Get in touch with BMW Financial Services from 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. (AEST) Monday to Friday on or via customerfinancesupport@bmwfinance.com.au.

5. How do I manage my finance agreement details?

Your details can be managed in the BMW One app, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. You have the ability to update your details, update and edit banking details and view transaction history all within the app using your BMW ID.

6. I am an existing customer, will you check my credit again?

Yes, we perform an independent credit check with each application you submit. Your internal credit history with BMW Financial Services is also used to review your application.

7. What are the operating hours for BMW Financial Services?

You can request support or provide feedback 24 hours a day within the My BMW Finance platform. Alternatively, our Customer Support team is available to assist with any questions from 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. (AEST) Monday to Friday. Contact us on or via customerfinancesupport@bmwfinance.com.au.

8. Do you do credit checks on all applications?

Credit checks are done once your credit application is submitted. We perform an independent credit check with each application you submit.

9. Can I get a car loan if I'm not an Australian citizen?

We extend financing to a non-Australian citizens provided you have a valid visa that does not expire before the loan term duration you are applying for. Credit approval is also subject to certain verification requirements dependent on the type of visa you hold.

10. Can I have more than one car lease or loan at a time?

This will depend on your individual situation based on your income and expenses.

11. What is a BMW ID?

The BMW ID is a unique ID provided to you upon sign up. This ID is created just for you and can be used to track and submit your My BMW Finance application. You can also use your BMW ID to access services such as BMW One app.

12. What are the service fees?

BMW Financial Services currently do not charge set up fees or account keeping fees for any of our products.

13. Who can I speak to for more information on which product is best for me?

You can visit https://findmyfinance.bmw.com.au/ and answer a few simple questions to guide you to the best suited product for your circumstances. Alternatively, you can get in contact with a BMW Financial Services expert within My BMW Finance by clicking on the Get In Touch button.

14. Is my information secure?

My BMW Finance with BMW Financial Services is governed by and compliant with the Australian Privacy Act as set out under the BMW Group Privacy, Credit Information, and Cookies Policy.

15. How do I update my profile details?

Once you have created an account, log into My BMW Finance and select Profile from the menu bar to update your details.

16. I have registered for a BMW ID but have not received an activation email.

Please check your email spam or junk folder if you are unable to find your BMW ID activation email. If you have not received an activation email, you can simply reset your registration process by clicking on the "Forgot Password?" option. Please note that the activation email will expire after five days.

Application Process

1. How long will my application take to complete?

If you have all the required documents and information ready to go, the application can take from 15-30 minutes and we can help you along the way. Contact us on or via customerfinancesupport@bmwfinance.com.au for assistance.

2. How do I provide my documents to support my application?

All documents can be uploaded electronically onto My BMW Finance, anytime you wish.

3. How do I receive and sign my finance agreement?

Your finance agreement will be sent to you electronically and can be signed digitally at your convenience.

4. How do I check my application status?

Upon submission, we will keep you informed, checking in along the way via email and SMS. You can also log into My BMW Finance to view the status of your application at your convenience.

5. How long will it take to receive a decision?

Once you have completed your application and submitted the required supporting information, you will hear from BMW Financial Services regarding the next steps within 1 business day.

6. Once I have submitted my application, what do I do next?

Upon submission of your application, you will receive a confirmation email. We will be in touch soon after to discuss the next steps.

7. What if I have uploaded the wrong document by mistake?

Don't worry - if an incorrect document has been uploaded, you can simply upload it again, this will replace your previous document.

8. Do you offer financing for private sales, non BMW vehicles or vehicles from other dealerships?

At this point in time, My BMW Finance cannot cater for used vehicles. We are still working on this and will hopefully have this option in the future!

9. What do I need before I start my application?

Please have the following information ready before commencing your application:
  • Financial details (Income, expenses, assets and liabilities)
  • Personal details (Driver license, email and contact number)
  • Employment details (Employment status and employer details)
Within My BMW Finance, you may have sections of the application pre-filled simply by uploading your Driver license for Personal details and your bank statements to assist with your Financial details.

10. Do I need to complete my application in one sitting or can I save and complete later?

My BMW Finance gives you the ease of completing your application where and when it suits you. You have the ability to save and continue the application at your convenience.

Please note all applications that have commenced have a validity period of xx days before they are archived. However, reminders will be sent in case you do forget.

11. Will applying for a vehicle loan impact my credit?

When applying for any line of credit, a new inquiry will show on your credit report. By submitting an application for a vehicle with My BMW Finance, your credit report will show an inquiry from BMW Financial Services.

12. How long is my pre-approval/approval valid for?

Your pre-approval/approval of your credit application will be valid for 60 days to complete and settle the purchase of your new BMW.

13. What is the difference between pre-approval and approval?

Pre-approval is subject to verification whilst approval is when your application is fully complete.

14. Can I withdraw/cancel my application after submission?

Yes, you may withdraw or cancel you application at any point in time. Please note however that at submission a credit inquiry has been made to your credit file.

In order to withdraw/cancel your application, you have the following options:

  • If you have not selected a dealership there is no need to cancel as your application will expire after 14 days.
  • If you have selected a dealership, please contact the your Business Manager or Sales Consultant to cancel the application.

Selecting my BMW

1. How do I find a BMW Authorised Dealership?

2. How do I book a test drive?

To get up close and personal with our Ultimate Driving Machines, select 'Request a Test Drive' on the home page of My BMW Finance. Alternatively, feel free to contact a preferred dealership to arrange a time that suits you.

3. Do I need to decide on a vehicle before I apply?

You do not have to decide on the specific vehicle before applying. My BMW Finance offers you the option to seek pre-approval before you begin browsing for your dream car. You may apply by:

  • Specifying a finance amount. If you know the amount you would like to finance, you may select this option when you initiate your application.
  • Determine a maximum amount you can finance. If you would like to know how much you can borrow based on your financial situation, you may use the Loan Calculator to estimate the amount you can borrow by answering a few questions.

4. Can I negotiate my vehicle purchase price after I submit my application?

The final purchase price will be negotiated between you and your BMW Dealership. Your finance agreement will be updated to reflect your final loan amount.

5. What if I have a vehicle to trade in?

If you plan to trade in your vehicle, please contact your BMW Dealership to assess the value, this will help determine whether you would want to apply any positive equity towards the deposit of your new BMW.
